Slippery Elm is indigenous to parts of North America and has long been traditionally used by the Indigenous Indian people as a nutritive remedy for the malnourished, sick, and convalescent, where a remedy is needed to strengthen and rebuild the system. It is high in mucilage, minerals and sugars and as such it is a superlative lubricating remedy for the digestive and respiratory system. It is also applied topically as a poultice to heal burns, wounds and skin conditions. It can also serve topically as a drawing agent for boils and abscesses.
Dosage: Add 1 glass of warm water to 1 teaspoon of seed. Stir well. Drink 1 to 2 times a day on an empty stomach 30 minutes before meals.
